OUR FEE ARRANGEMENTS

During your initial consultation we will discuss with you how our fees for legal services will be billed. For some matters the lawyer will be able to give you a close estimate of the total charge. For other matters the lawyer will explain how the fees will be determined.

We will also bill you for any expenses we incur on your behalf-such as filing fees, copies, long distance telephone calls, and travel expenses. You will be advised before substantial expenses are incurred.

In most cases our legal services fees are based upon the time and responsibility involved. For some matters a fixed fee is appropriate. For other matters an hourly charge is used. Hourly matters are billed monthly; in unusual circumstances, we can make other arrangements.

For most matters our policies require an advance payment, known as a retainer, to be applied toward our fees and expenses.

If you have a Discover/Novus, Visa, or MasterCard account with a sufficient credit limit, we can offer you the option of charging our fees and expenses to your account.
